Senior Data Governance Specialist (m/w/d)

Your responsibilities:
- Lead and execute company-wide data governance initiatives to ensure data quality, compliance, and security across the organization
- Act as a trusted advisor and liaison between business units, technical teams, and senior leadership, leveraging strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Design and implement governance frameworks based on Collibra (business glossaries, reference data, data dictionaries)
- Configure and maintain Collibra’s operating model, including metadata, workflows, and data quality frameworks
- Develop documentation for data lineage and perform impact analyses using Collibra
- Automate data quality rules and monitoring processes within Collibra
- Integrate Collibra with data virtualization solutions (e.g., Starburst, Trino) and modern cloud platforms, with a focus on AWS
- Promote the adoption of governance tools and processes across the business and report governance KPIs to senior management
- Architect governance solutions for data quality and data lineage on the Cloud Analytics Platform
Required Skills, Education, Knowledge and Experience:
- 10–12+ years of experience in data governance and ideally a strong consulting background
- Proven, hands-on expertise in Collibra, including metadata models, workflows, integrations, and APIs
- Solid experience designing and implementing governance solutions on AWS
- Practical experience with data virtualization technologies (e.g., Starburst, Trino) and a deep understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Spark, and modern data architectures (Data Mesh, Data Fabric)
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects in an agile environment
- Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
Nice-to-Have:
- Databricks knowledge
- Experience with other data governance platforms such as Alation, Informatica, Ataccama, Talend, OvalEdge, Solidatus, or similar tools is also welcome
