Senior DevOps Engineer/AWS Cloud Architect (m/w/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of DevOps engineers to build, maintain, and enhance an AWS-based analytics platform
  • Stakeholder management between the customer, team, and Adastra Management. Excellent communication skills and ability to discuss and debate technical topics with the customer
  • Participate in and contribute to SAFE Agile and Scrum rituals, such as Program Increment planning, Sprint planning, and Stand-up calls
  • Design highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions on the AWS platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions
  • Architect, configure, and manage virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, and security groups to ensure a secure and isolated network environment
  • Implement and manage network connectivity, including VPNs, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway, to establish secure and efficient communication between on-premises and cloud environments
  • Work in a DevOps mode to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and management using infrastructure-as-code tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud infrastructure, networking, and security domains to drive continuous improvement and innovation

Required Skills, Education, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer focusing on infrastructure, networking, and security
  • Strong understanding of AWS core services, including EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, IAM, RDS, and CloudWatch
  • Hands-on experience with services like ECS, ECR, EC2, VPC, and Endpoints
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, routing, and subnetting
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Git, Jenkins, or Docker
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments
  • Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Architect - Professional) are highly desired
