Adastra is in search of a proficient Smart Manufacturing Specialist to bolster our team temporarily. Whether through ad hoc consultation or a few months' contract, you'll play a pivotal role in developing offerings for the manufacturing sector while elucidating the business value of Industry 4.0 solutions like IoT and digital twins. Your primary focus will be on comprehending shop floor processes, and KPIs, and crafting strategies to integrate cutting-edge technologies for enhanced efficiency.

Your responsibilities:

  • Delve deeply into understanding the operational objectives of manufacturing
  • Explore the comprehensive journey of manufacturing data, covering aspects such as data acquisition at the machine level, data connectivity, and integration, data storage and processing, as well as data analysis and visualization
  • Develop customized strategies that effectively articulate the business value of smart manufacturing solutions to both current and prospective clients
  • Collaborate with the sales team to refine offers, proposals, and presentations tailored to the unique needs of each client
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Take the lead in delivering engaging presentations and demonstrations that highlight the benefits of Industry 4.0 solutions
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to extract valuable insights from manufacturing data, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, establishing yourself as a trusted authority on Industry 4.0 technologies

Required Skills, Education, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or relevant training in fields like Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration in Operation Management, Business Informatics, Business Engineering, Data Science, or Computer Science
  • Demonstrated experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably in roles involving data analysis, process, and planning optimization
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and methodologies specifically applied to manufacturing contexts
  • Proven track record in crafting compelling narratives and presentations to drive sales and business growth
  • Familiarity with smart manufacturing technologies
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of elucidating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Previous experience in business management consulting or digital transformation is advantageous
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Fluent English communication
