Your responsibilities:

  • You will be designing data integration pipelines for various source data systems, support and maintain their implementation including automated validation and CI/CD pieplines 
  • Performance optimization of data pipelines using Spark and RDS
  • Design and implementation of reusable infrastructure components and modules using Terraform 
  • Sharing knowledge within the development teams 
  • Approaching your tasks with a hands-on mentality

Required Skills, Education, Knowledge and Experience:

  • You have sucessfuly handled cloud architect responsibilities in the past
  • Previous hands-on experience with fundamental AWS cloud services (f.e. VPC, IaM, Ec2, CloudWatch, KMS, Route53, RDS, Glue, EMR, S3, Redshift or AWS Athena)
  • Strong code architecture skills and hands-on working experience are necessary, and should include object oriented programming, unit testing, code reusability and development skills
  • Strong data modeling skills are of importance
  • Very good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles and connected technologies, especially Terraform understanding of agile working principles and related tools
  • Experience with building data lakes, ideally cloud based and object storage based
  • You are experienced in designing and developing data pipelines based on Spark using various data formats
  • You have command of scripted languages like Python / Scala, Bash, SQL
