We are currently looking for a motivated and team-oriented Senior Data Engineer for the development of one of the largest data and analytics platforms in Germany. If you want to continuously develop and contribute innovative ideas and are keen to learn new things and work in a dynamic, international team with flat hierarchies, we look forward to hearing from you!

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and development of complex data engineering processes (CLOUD and on-prem) with the latest technologies such as Apache SPARK, Kafka, AWS, MS Azure, GCP, Teradata
  • Requirements analysis
  • Close collaboration with specialist departments

Required Skills, Education, Knowledge and Experience:

  • A university degree in computer science, business informatics, natural science, mathematics or in a comparable course of study
  • Experience in the development of data warehouses or data lakes
  • In-depth experience in processing and transforming large amounts of data in both classic data warehouse and big data platforms
  • Sound knowledge in analysis tools
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a high degree of personal responsibility
  • Strong communication and team work skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in any of the following technologies: Apache Spark, Hortonworks / Cloudera, Kafka, AWS EMR, MS Azure, Databricks, GCP, Teradata
  • Business Intelligence knowledge (Tableau or Qlik Sense)
  • Good knowledge of German
