Senior Cloud Data Engineering Consultant (m/w/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • Concept of integrated data & analytics solutions, data lakes, modern, cloud-based data warehouse and BI systems
  • Creating conceptual documents in an AWS Cloud project such as Deletion Concept, Backup Concept, GDPR etc
  • Design of specific modules of data & analytics platforms
  • Identification of best practices and development of reference architectures on clients side
  • Assessment and reviews of existing data & analytics solutions
  • Participation in and moderation of architecture workshops
  • Management and participation in internal R&D lab projects
  • Communicating with stakeholders regarding incoming and outgoing data interfaces
  • Creating necessary infrastructure elements (Glue jobs, Lambda functions, ECS containers etc.) using CI/CD and IaC

Required Skills, Education, Knowledge and Experience:

  • A university degree in computer science, business informatics, business administration with an IT focus or in a comparable course of study
  • At least 2 years of experience in an AWS-based project
  • Strong experience in AWS best practices especially in AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, ECR
  • Strong experience in Data Engineering best practices
  • Experience in CI/CD - both building & using
  • Experience in IaC - preferably in AWS CDK
  • Experience with AWS, Python, PySpark
  • You constantly seek to improve yourself and have a proactive approach to learning new things
  • Your consultant profile is completed by team orientation, strong communication skills, and a substantial degree of personal responsibility and autonomy
  • Your English language skills (spoken & written) are excellent, good German skills are a big plus
